What are the options for perimenopause and menopause care?
Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years. It is characterized by a decline in hormone production, particularly estrogen. While menopause can bring about various symptoms such as vasomotor symptoms, mood swings, and changes in sleep patterns, evidence-based hormone therapy has been shown to be safe and effective in managing these symptoms. A Menopause Society Certified Practitioner provides a thorough assessment of current and past medical issues along with current symptoms to determine the most suitable treatment options, with shared decision-making, that are tailored to individual needs.
